On this project our clients goal was to create more room in the kitchen and breakfast area. With most room addition projects the client wasn't exactly sure how the new room would connect to the existing house. So our design team came out and met with the client to discuss the different options for new room addition.

Our client was not sure which direction was best for their needs and budget, so our design team showed them what was financially feasible. After a direction was decided, the design team moved forward with the plans for the enlarged kitchen, breakfast area, and 2nd story porch. Our design team created the plans and also showed the client 3-D renderings of what the finished project would look like. They were able to see what the outside of the house would look like and how the roof line was going connect into the existing roof. So essentially our design team gave them a virtual tour of the new remodeling project.

So once the plans were finalized by the client, the construction started on the room addition. We removed an existing 2nd story patio and then added on approximately 300 square feet to the kitchen and breakfast area. We added some new cabinets that matched the existing cabinets for more storage. We also built a new pantry for the much needed space and installed a bun warmer and a convection oven microwave. Outside we built a new 2nd story patio that you can access from the 2nd floor. The patio roof tied into the 2nd story roof seamlessly, you can't even tell that we added on to the roof.

You can see some of the pictures below, you will notice how well the room addition tied into the existing home. We were able to match the brick on the 1st floor, you can not tell where the home transitions into the new addition. One goal that we emphasize with all of our remodeling projects is to make the home look like we were never there before.
