Our client’s two story home additions involved a well thought out plan to
relocate their main living quarters upstairs and in doing so, extending and
adding 700 square feet to the second level. Outwardly, the addition loomed
over the driveway giving the impression of a porchère or carport.
The plans and ideas for this interior home remodeling project were in line with age in place forethoughts.
The added square footage encompassed enlarging and updating a master bedroom. A new bathroom was also included in the master suite remodeling as well as a sun room/reading room adjacent to the suite.
Room Addition project:
- Coffered ceiling in the sun room 10 feet with wall-to-wall windows.
- All windows replaced with double hung, low-e, double pane insulated vinyl frame.
- Can lighting.
- Pegged hardwood flooring.
- Chair stair lift from 1st to 2nd floor.
- Walk-in shower for handicap accessibility with pull-down seating – wheelchair.
- Enlarging closet door access.
