The Greater Houston Builders Association’s Remodelers Council held the first day of its annual Charity Project Work Day on Saturday, April 12. The next Work day will be Saturday, May 3, at the Sonrise Shelter, a private, faith-based nonprofit that provides to the homeless and near homeless in the Houston metro area. Ryan Boyles with GB General Construction is the Charity Project chairman for the Remodelers Council Board.
The Remodelers Council is an organization of the GHBA made up of remodelers and industry associates. It is dedicated to the promotion of excellence and professionalism within the organization. Its goal is to accomplish this through education, certification and service to the membership, industry and the community.
The remodel effort will be 9 a.m. https://www.gbgeneralcontrs.com/ghba-remodelers-council-leads-shelterrenovations/to 4 p.m. Work will include adding an exterior door in the gymnasium and providing improvements to the men’s and women’s locker rooms.
The charity project is divided into two workdays, the first was April 12 for skilled RMC volunteers, and on May 3, RMC volunteers will paint, serve food and help with construction cleanup.

Sonrise Shelter
Sonrise Shelter provides an emergency shelter for clients’ most basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing.
